My online professional soccer training program has an absolute focus on developing two-footed, technically advanced players (in conjunction with FC England, Santa Monica’s newest Soccer Club). If you are looking to become an elite player, you have come to the right place.

I am the author of Simple Soccer: 30 Vital Tips to Help Coaches & Players Excel. You can download the book HERE. I have made the book available FREE and only ask that you make a donation once you have read it and feel that you have benefited from the content.

I have a selection of free ebooks available for download:

Better Soccer In 30 Days is a 30-day individual soccer training program which guarantees results with just 30 minutes of practice per day.

Effective Communication For Referees is intended to help new (and more experienced) referees improve their communication and interaction with players and team officials.

Youth Soccer Coach is aimed mainly at new and inexperienced coaches (although even experienced coaches will find some use from the material). The concepts in the book are written in a simple, easy to understand format and provide the perfect foundation for coaches at all ages of youth soccer.

My Biography

In terms of soccer, I played for Stoke City (now in the English Premier League) as a teenager before spending 15 years as a semi-pro with clubs such as Bedworth Utd, Chasetown and Brackley Town but spent my most successful seasons with Nuneaton Town, one of England’s biggest and most well known non-league clubs.

On the business side, I am the former owner of Fivez Ltd, the largest network of small-sided soccer leagues in Scotland (before I sold the company to one of the UK’s most successful soccer league businesses, Soccersixes). I have worked in the leisure industry (small-sided leagues in particular) for most of my working life.

I began working in local government (Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council) in 1996 where I was involved in business and finance. This was my 2-year introduction to the working world but I soon realised that the 9-to-5 routine wasn’t what I wanted and set out on becoming an entrepreneur.

I worked for my older brothers’ company, Leisure Leagues, before establishing my own small-sided soccer business, Fivez Ltd (now part of Soccersixes). My cousin, Stuart Mitchell (now a prominent comedian and writer) joined me at Fivez and we went on to win a number of national business awards. We were also featured in a TV documentary intended to inspire and assist students looking to establish their own business.

In addition to running this website and being the DOC at FC England Soccer Club, I am a Private Soccer Coach (USSF ‘E’ License) and qualified US/UK Referee.

I owe everything to my parents; they sacrificed so much to raise me, my twin brother Ross and older brother Pete. They raised us in the right way, for which I am eternally grateful.

Most of my free time involves physical activity as I enjoy working out, boxing, playing soccer (of course) and reading to relax and further my knowledge.
