Rapid sole to inside – Footwork

Rapid sole to inside.

Individual Skills Library.

1. Start by using the front area of your right sole to drag the ball back and touch the ball forwards with the inside of the same foot.

2. Immediately use your left sole to drag the ball back and then touch it forwards with the inside of your right foot.

3. The idea is to take 2 quick touches (sole then inside) with the same foot before repeating with the other foot and establishing a rhythm. Stay on your toes and hop up and down while performing the exercise.

4. Test yourself – try to get the ball moving as quickly as possible straight away. This is not particularly tough on the leg muscles so you should be able to keep going for up to 1 minute at a time. How fast can you go and maintain balance/rhythm?
