Ronaldo stepover – 1v1 Moves

Ronaldo multi-stepover 1v1 move.

1. You don’t require any cones or ‘defenders’ for this move, just use an open space with 10-15 metres in length.

2. Dribble at speed with the ball at your feet.

3. Using just one foot, perform a scissors move (foot goes from inside to outside of the ball) and immediately perform a stepover (foot goes round the opposite way). Do this again so you have performed two scissors and two stepovers and then accelerate into space.

4. There are four ‘moves’ to get right – scissors, stepover, scissors, stepover. The quicker you can do them, the more effective the move becomes.

5. Once you have worked for a while with your right foot, switch to using your left foot. Finish off with alternately using both feet until you feel equally comfortable performing scissors and stepovers rapidly on both sides.

6. Test yourself – see how quickly and fluidly you can perform a number of scissors/stepover moves before pushing the ball past an opponent.
